The TalmaheRa has been in existence since August, 1999. The name, originally chosen by Tallia and is literally translated from Egyptian as "Black Hand", was selected because of Tallia's days playing Vampire:The Masquerade on IRC, a time prior to when computer games had things like... graphics.

We first appeared on Everquest's Mithaniel Marr server, where we were a known and respected guild. After 5 years and the combining of Mithaniel Marr with another server, we left for World of Warcraft.

We began World of Warcraft out on the Nathrezim server as members of the Horde. This server had a relatively low Horde population, as well as hardware issues that made growing a guild too difficult, so, we moved.

On September 9, 2006, we moved as a guild to the Kirin Tor server, where we remain a known and respected 10-man raiding guild.

In November, 2009, the founding guild master Tallia (Orchyd) decided to leave the guild after ten years to persue interests elsewhere, and Ramanaa has taken the reins as Guild Master.
